What's with the judges in UFC?
« on: November 30, 2009, 03:04:42 AM »
The last few UFC ppv's have had controversial calls at the end of fights.  Recently Shogun vs Machida had me fuming as well as Couture vs. Vera.  I disagreed with both results and I wonder how the judges are calling the fights.  Perhaps they should have better seats or larger tv cameras or even instant replay to make better calls.  I know they have nothing to do with UFC but with the gaming commission itself.  There needs to be improvements in judging in all professional fights.

I think it would be really hard for them to make any drastic changes to the system currently. I think Dana actually feels safer keeping it the way it is

so how is it that kevin burns can win by tko going two knuckles deep into anthony johnsons eye, but downward elbows to matt hamill by jon jones are a loss by dq? both are illegal moves that ended a fight yet the results are clearly contradictory. the mma world needs to act to correct these discrepancies because they are losing credibility. fast.
